Rest easy
You will receive sedatives through an IV or locally.
Starting procedure
Lie on your back with your arm resting under or above your head.
Preparation
The doctor will mark the spot where the biopsy needle will be inserted.
Sample taking
The doctor will collect the sample for testing.
Ending
You will have a bandage on the puncture site and lay on the right side for 2-4 hours.
Duration
The procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes.
